Ashli Wicker officially became a Griffon in May of 2023, taking control of home events and game day operations for Missouri Western Athletics.
Before MWSU, Wicker served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois, from 2015-2023. In that time, Wicker guided the Laker volleyball program for the past seven seasons, posting a record of 152-133. During her tenure, she led three NJCAA All-Academic teams, coached 13 NJCAA Scholar-Athlete award winners, three conference Freshman of the Year award winners, and 27 all-conference selections. She was named the 2016 Great Rivers Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
In addition to her coaching role, Wicker also served as Lake Land's TRIO Learning Skills Specialist, working to recruit and retain eligible students, tracking academic progress and developing and scheduling workshops for TRIO students. Wicker also has experience with social media and sports information management.
Prior to serving as head volleyball coach, Wicker served as an assistant coach for three years after her two-year playing career at Lake Land ended. Wicker received her bachelor's degree in sports management, wellness, and fitness from California University of Pennsylvania and her master's in sports administration from Eastern Illinois.
