Kyle Schumann

Kyle Schumann officially became a Griffon in March 2025 after spending six seasons at Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, including three as the head women's soccer coach. He will serve in an assistant role with the defending Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
 
During his tenure with the Rams, Schumann led them to an impressive 37-9-6 record. He was appointed head coach in the 2023 season after serving as the interim coach for 10 games in 2022. In his final season, he was named the CACC Coach of the Year after guiding the team to a program-best 19-1-3 record and capturing both the CACC Tournament and Regular Season Championships. The team also achieved two NCAA Tournament victories to advance to the Sweet 16 and finished the season ranked No. 11 in the nation.
 
Before joining the Jefferson coaching staff, Schumann worked as an assistant coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2018. The Bulldogs finished with a record of 13-5-1, with losses only to teams that participated in the NCAA Tournament. In 2017, he also served as an assistant coach for the men's soccer team at Malone University.
 
He enjoyed a notable collegiate career at Southern Nazarene University, contributing to the Crimson Storm’s four consecutive appearances in the NAIA Tournament, including a run to the national semifinals in 2005. He was recognized as an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete in 2007. Prior to his college career, he was part of the Broken Arrow High School team that finished as the state runner-up in 2005, earning All-State honors along the way for the Tigers.
 
Upon graduation at SNU, Schumann was a goalkeeper for the Tulsa Athletic in the National Premier Soccer League in 2013.
 
Originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Schumann earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Southern Nazarene University in 2009 and later obtained his MBA from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
