2011 season: Zuerlein, a first team AFCA All-America, Dakrtonics All-America and AP “Little” All-America selection from Lincoln, Neb., led the nation in field goals per game (2.30) and broke a NCAA and MIAA record with 21 consecutive field goals made. He set an MWSU record, with 23 field goals in a regular season and broke a school record, with a 58-yard field goal against Northwest Missouri State twice. He was also first team All-MIAA and Daktronics Super Region Four selections. He led the conference with an average of 10.7 points per game which is sixth in the nation. He leads the nation with a .952 field goal percentage for any kicker with at least 12 attempts.
Zuerlein became Western's first MIAA Special Teams Player of the Year and is just the third Western kicker named first team All-MIAA. He was named the D2Football.com Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the Griffons 31-28 victory over Northwest Missouri State on November 5. With his 21 consecutive field goals nine of them were from 50 or more yards.
A three-time MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week honoree - the most by any player in that category - Zuerlein is the first Griffon kicker to be selected to the first team. The last Griffon to earn AP “Little” All-America first team honors was offensive lineman Roger Allen back in 2008.

2009 season: Set a school record at UNO with 17 field goals on the season (17-for-23 on the year)...was 40-for-44 on PATs for his third-straight year with 40 or more PATs...set the school record for PATs in a career with 131, surpassing Troy Severson who had 126...booted four field goals, including a career-long 52-yarder against West Texas A&M in the Kanza Bowl...his four field goals in a game tied him for a the school record with Troy Severson who also kicked four in a single game in 2000...named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week on Oct. 5...selected to the All-MIAA first team as a placekicker...named to Don Hansen’s Football Gazette NCAA Division II All-Super Region Four Team as a third team offense member...was an AFCA Coaches’ All-America selection as a place kicker...was a D2football.com All-America second-team selection...had 30 touch backs on kickoffs, which led Division II for the second-straight season and was third overall in NCAA football...ended the season nine field goals shy of UNO’s all-time career record of 45 set by Troy Severson from 1999-2002...finished the final eight games of the year with at least one field goal made in each game...made at least one PAT in each of UNO’s 12 games.
2008 season: Extended his UNO record for consecutive PATs to 61 before having that string snapped at Missouri Southern...finished third in team scoring with 43-of-45 PAT and went 9-for-11 in field goal tries for 70 points...his longest field goal was 48-yarder against Fort Hays State...28 of his 63 kickoffs were touchbacks, which was tops in Division II football...all-MIAA first team selection...was named UNO’s outstanding special teams player for the second consecutive season.
2007 season: Set the UNO school record with 46 consecutive PAT conversions during the season...converted 48-of-49 tries and was 10-for-15 on field goals for 78 points...had a long field goal of 49 yards against Western Washington and had a 46-yarder to help clinch 13-3 win at St. Cloud State...33 of his 72 kickoffs were touchbacks...all-North Central Conference first-team selection...Football Gazette all-region...team’s outstanding special teams player.
2006 season: Redshirted
High School: Played at Lincoln Pius X...All-class, all-state selection as a placekicker as a junior and senior...set state mark for most field goals in a season with 12...converted 43 of 45 PATS and went 12-for-16 on FGs with a long of 52 yards...also lettered in soccer...a 2005 Sports Illustrated preseason high school All-American.
