The mission of the Gold Coat Victory Fund...
is to provide an avenue for alumni, businesses, family, and friends to provide philanthropic support to Missouri Western student-athletes. Donors to the Gold Coat Victory Fund become members of the Gold Coat Club, tasked with generating school spirit, increasing attendance at sporting events, and building overall enthusiasm and tradition for Griffon athletics.
The Gold Coat Victory Fund supports...
nearly 400 Missouri Western student-athletes, empowering them to achieve success in competition, in the classroom, and in the community.
Donors to the Gold Coat Victory Fund...
become members of the Griffon athletics family with your annual gift. Your gift, no matter how big or small, makes a difference in the lives of our student-athletes.
By making a gift and supporting the Gold Coat Victory Fund, you:
- provide scholarship support to all Griffon student-athletes
- have the opportunity to receive tax deductible donation credit
- offer a world-class academic and athletic experience for our student-athletes
- promote an environment that will produce tomorrow's leaders
- assist our student-athletes in matching the Division II standard of having an average GPA higher than the overall student body average GPA
- assist our student-athletes in matching the Division II standard of having a higher graduation rate than the overall student body

The mission of the Gold Coat Victory Fund is unchanged - thanks to the generosity of people like you, the Gold Coat Victory Fund assists in providing student-athletes with the necessary resources to compete at the highest level of Division II and prepares our student-athletes to reach their full potential in the classroom, in competition, and in the community.
As an economic driver for the city of St. Joseph, Buchanan County, and all of northwest Missouri, and by hosting regular-season and championship events, Griffon athletics creates revenue opportunities for local businesses and generates important tax revenue for the community.
The value we provide goes far beyond the simple metric of wins and losses - Griffon athletics makes a transformational impact in the lives of our student-athletes and in the community in
which we serve.
