Spratt Stadium Video Scoreboard

Spratt Stadium Video Scoreboard

It’s coming! The largest video scoreboard in NCAA Division II will soon roll onto the Missouri Western campus. The crowning achievement of the Spratt Memorial Stadium renovation is scheduled to arrive on campus June 9, with an 11 a.m. press conference and celebration planned.

The video scoreboard components will be transported on 10 flatbed trailers, leaving Corona, California, June 6 and traveling on a 1,600-mile cross-country road trip. You can follow along, as the caravan makes stops in Las Vegas and Colorado, with special reports broadcast live from the road via the St. Joe News Press and KNPN Channel 26. Be sure to follow along on Missouri Western’s Facebook (facebook.com/MissouriWestern) and Twitter feeds (@missouriwestern), as well as @newspressnow and @KNPNAlexFlippin and @LedMultimedia.

Please join us at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 9, in the Spratt Stadium Hall of Fame Room (2nd floor, Spratt Memorial Stadium) for the press conference/celebration. Steve Craig, founder and CEO of Craig Realty Group and benefactor of the Craig School of Business, will be on hand for the celebration, as well as Alex Birner and Luis Castellanos from MultimediaLED, the group that conceived the design of the scoreboard. Craig contributed $1.1 million of the estimated $2.6 million project. Private donors have pledged the rest of the cost through Missouri Western State University’s Centennial Capital Campaign.
