It is the sole purpose and mission of the Missouri Western State University Cheer squad to support the intercollegiate athletic programs and serve as representatives of Missouri Western State University, and be the primary source of spirit for the University community. The squads also participates in philanthropic and public relation events that benefit Missouri Western and the local community.
The Cheer squad is expected to set high standards for their institution and to set a good example for their fellow students.
Through coordinated efforts of community service and volunteerism in the St. Joseph and surrounding area, the Missouri Western Spirit Squads are committed to promoting the sport of cheerleading through education.
