Outlook: Has tools to be successful both on the course and in the classroom...has a great attitude and brings a good work ethic to our squad.

2013-2014: Played in nine events with a low round of 73 at the UCM Heart of America Invitational...played 25 rounds with a stroke average of 77.7...finished in the top 20 twice which included at the Missouri Intercollegiate and the Broncho Invitational...MIAA Academic Honor Roll (3.0 cumulative GPA).

2012-2013: Played in nine events...scored a low round of 74 twice, in the Pittsburg State Invitational and the Lindenwood Invitational...also scored a 151 in both invites to mark his best two round total of the season...placed ninth in the Missouri Intercollegiate with a score of 229 (79-78-72)...had a stroke average of 77.4...MIAA Academic Honor Roll (3.0 cumulative GPA).

2011-2012: Had a solid freshman year played 10 events and 22 rounds...had a scoring average of 79.8 with a low round of 73 in the Missouri Intercollegiate...placed in the top 20 twice with his best finish coming at the Park University Fall Invite where he finished in a tie for 15th with rounds of 74 and 79...of his 22 rounds seven were in the 70's.

High School: O’Brien played his high school sports at East Buchanan High School in Gower, Mo....was a three sport athlete in high school and is a solid student...was a Second Team All-Conference football player and on the golf course was the Plattsburg Club Champion and finished in the Top 10 in the Kansas City Junior Tour...was also won the St. Joseph City wide junior championship...is a member of the National Honor Society, FFA and is a class officer.
