ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Women's Golf will travel to Joplin, Missouri, this week to continue its Fall 2026 campaign.
MoWest will compete in the MSSU Fall Invitational at Twin Hills Country Club on Sept. 14–15. Hosted by Missouri Southern State University, the tournament will feature competition from across the conference and region.
Last Time Out
Women's Golf opened the fall season last week at the Central Region Fall Preview in Blue Springs, Missouri. MoWest finished 13th out of 16 teams, while Avery Wells and Makenna Casey led the Griffons in the lineup. Kylie Ellegood also turned in a strong performance while competing as an individual, opening the tournament with a 3-over 75.
The Griffon lineup will feature junior Emma Spurlin, sophomores Makenna Casey, Avery Wells and Raleigh Puzio, and freshmen Cydney Beckmann and Abby Owens. The final lineup will be determined prior to the event, with one golfer competing as an individual.
What's Next
Griffon Women's Golf will make one final trip before its first week off from competition this fall, traveling to Andover, Kansas, on Sept. 21–22 for the Newman MIAA Fall Designated Event. The Griffon men will continue preparations for the Holiday Inn Express Invitational, set for Sept. 28–29 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
