Patrick McCarthy
Men's Golf (2016-2021)
McCarthy's esteemed career makes him one of the most decorated men's golfers in MoWest history. Finishing with a career scoring average of 72.96, McCarthy boasts 20 career top 10 finishes, including four tournament championships. He's only the second men's golfer in program history to qualify for the NCAA Central Regional Championship all four years of his career. McCarthy was a four-time first team all-MIAA selection, the 2017 MIAA Freshman of the Year and was named the MWSU Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2019.

Travis Partridge
Football (2009-13)
Partridge was the signal caller during the most dominant stretch of Griffon Football in modern history. A three-time all-MIAA pick, Partridge boasted a 29-8 record as the Griffons starting quarterback, earning first team all-conference honors, first team Don Hansen all-Super Region Three honors and Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-America honors in the historic 2012 season. Partridge rewrote the career record books for Griffon Football, ranking first in program history in career rushing touchdowns (36). He also sits third all-time in career passing yards (6754), passing touchdowns (70), total offense (8315) and fifth in total points scored (216). He also set single season records in 2012 with 18 rushing touchdowns and 3157 total yards of offense. Partridge was later named to the MWSU 2010s All-Decade Team.

Greg Zuerlein
Football (2011)
In just one season at MoWest, Zuerlein established himself as perhaps the most spectacular specialist in Griffon Football history. In 2011, Zuerlein set an NCAA Division II record with 21 consecutive made field goals – nine of which were 50 yards or longer. He made 23 of 24 field goal attempts in 2011, making his .958 field goal percentage the highest of any NCAA kicker in any division with 12 or more attempts that season. Zuerlein still holds the single season record at MWSU for most made field goals (23), and single game program records for longest made field goal (58 yards), most made extra points (10) and most made field goals (5). Zuerlein was a first team all-American in 2011, and was named the MIAA Specialist of the Year. Zuerlein went on to have an illustrious 12-year career in the NFL following his time at MoWest, being drafted in the sixth round by the St. Louis Rams. He went onto play for the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets as well, earning a 2017 Pro Bowl Invite. He holds two Rams franchise records: longest made field goal (61) and most made field goals in a single game (7).

Amy Towne
Women's Basketball (1993-95)
Towne helped solidify Griffon Women's Basketball as a national contender under Griffon Hall of Fame Head coach Jeff Mittie (2011). Named the MIAA Freshman of the Year in 1994, Towne was a member of the NCAA Division II South Central Region All-Tournament Team, helping MoWest to a 29-3 record, a regional championship and the program's first NCAA Division II Elite Eight Appearance. She would go on to earn third team all-American honors, first team all-South Central Region and first team all-MIAA honors in 1995. Towne helped guide the Griffs that season to a 31-3 record and an outright MIAA regular season title. The Griffs won the MIAA tournament championship and the South Central Regional Championship, reaching the Elite Eight a second consecutive year in 1995. In just two years with the Griffons, Towne scored 1036 points, averaging 15.7 points per game. Her career field goal percentage (.536) ranks third in Griffon history, as does her career free throw percentage (.811).

Ryan Menley
Creative Content (2010-2022), Administrator (2024-present)
Menley first came to MoWest in 2010 after honing his creative and storytelling skills as the Sports Director for ABC affiliate KQTV in St. Joseph. The Emmy award-winning journalist was no stranger to Griffon Athletics or the campus in this new role, having shot many broadcast pieces there. Menley was hired to establish an athletic video production department. His vision building the department led to the creation of a nearly one-of-a-kind platform for an NCAA Division II athletic program and rivaled even many Division I platforms at the time. During his tenure as the Director of Creative Content, Menley initiated the 'Griffon Sports Insider' brand that kept Griffon faithful up to date through its in-depth highlights, commercials and feature stories. One of Menley's most significant roles involved enhancing the football game day experience for fans, as he oversaw the video board productions and live broadcasts. Menley's work earned well-deserved national attention as he has won six National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) awards. It may very well be that no one person has done more to tell the Griffon Athletics story and elevate its perception to the public than Ryan Menley has for his combined 15 years of service.
 

2015-16 Women's Basketball
Led by head coach Rob Edmisson, the 2015-16 Griffon Women's Basketball team turned in one of the greatest seasons in program history, going 27-4 overall and 20-2 in the MIAA. The team raced out to an 18-0 start, which is a program record. The 20 conference wins set an MIAA record as well. MoWest clinched an outright MIAA regular season title, and later qualified for the NCAA Central Region tournament. LaQuinta Jefferson was named the MIAA Player of the Year and was a first team WBCA All-American and Honorable Mention D2CCA All-American. Sarafina Handy earned second team all-MIAA honors, while Miliakere Koyamainavure and Chelsea Dewey earned honorable mention all-MIAA recognition. The 2015-16 team ranks first all-time in program history in single season field goal percentage (.495), three-point percentage (.395), second in scoring offense (82.1 ppg), third in free throw percentage (.730), third in total wins (27) and third in steals per game (10.5).

2005-06 Men's Golf
The 2005-06 Griffon Men's Golf Team made history by earning an outright MIAA championship – the first since 1996 and just the second in program history. Led by coach Jim Perry, the 2005-06 team took wins in the Truman Bulldog Classic, the Central Fall Regional and eventually the MIAA Tournament at Blue Springs Country Club. Hall of Fame golfer Brice Garnett (2012) won an MIAA championship for a third straight season, was an all-American for a third straight season, was named all-MIAA for a fourth straight season and he became the first ever MIAA Player of the Year. The 2005-06 team was also comprised of Scott Burnham, Craig Lytle, Aaron Lisenbee, Daniel Cordray and Cass Millsap.
