ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Volleyball has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring 26 regular-season matches, three early-season tournaments, and 16 home contests at the MWSU Fieldhouse.
The Griffons will open the season in Daytona Beach, Florida, August 28-29, taking on St. Edward's, Embry-Riddle, Florida Southern, and Florida Tech in four matches over two days.
Griffon Volleyball makes its home debut on September 3 when Southwest Minnesota State visits the MWSU Fieldhouse. The opening home tournament continues September 4 with matches against Northern State and Oklahoma Christian before concluding September 5 against Rockhurst.
The following weekend, MoWest hosts its second home tournament of the season. Arkansas Tech, Illinois Springfield, and McKendree will visit St. Joseph for matches September 11-12.
The Griffons open conference play with home matches against Central Oklahoma on September 18 and Newman on September 19 before welcoming Northwest Missouri State to the MWSU Fieldhouse on September 25.
MIAA competition begins on the road October 2 at Central Missouri and October 3 at Missouri Southern. The Griffons return home the following weekend to host Fort Hays State on October 9 and Nebraska Kearney on October 10.
A stretch of matches continues with the MIAA In-Season Tournament. Washburn visits St. Joseph on October 15 before the Griffons host Fort Hays State on October 17. Washburn and Fort Hays State will also face off in St. Joseph on October 16.
Road trips to Northwest Missouri State and Washburn follow on October 20 and October 23.
MoWest wraps up its home schedule with matches against Arkansas-Fort Smith on October 30 and Northeastern State on October 31 at the MWSU Fieldhouse.
The Griffons close the regular season on the road with matches at Pittsburg State on November 6 and Emporia State on November 7.
The 2026 MIAA Volleyball Postseason Tournament will be held November 12-14 at Civic Arena in St. Joseph.
