KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Week nine Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, presented by ClassicCourt, the official tennis surface of the MIAA.
Griffon Tennis junior Johanna Priedite earned the honor, marking her second selection of the 2026 season.
Priedite continued to pace MoWest, going a perfect 4-0 across two matches while helping extend the Griffons' winning streak to 10. MWSU improved to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in MIAA play during the stretch.
Against Arkansas-Fort Smith, Priedite delivered a dominant performance with a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0, and teamed with Cristina Granero Boj for a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles in a 7-0 sweep.
She followed with another strong showing against Northeastern State, rallying for a three-set win at No. 1 singles, 6-7 (1-7), 6-2, 6-1. Priedite and Granero Boj also secured a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles, helping MoWest to a 6-1 team victory.

MWSU returns home to Genesis Health Club for a pair of MIAA matches, hosting Central Oklahoma on Saturday, April 11 at 10 a.m., followed by Newman on Sunday, April 12 at 10 a.m.
