ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Lacrosse (4-4, 0-0 GLVC) hits the road Saturday for its GLVC conference-opening matchup at Quincy (3-7, 0-0), with opening draw set for 12 p.m.

MWSU enters the weekend looking to bounce back after a narrow loss to No. 23 Grand Valley State in a close back-and-forth contest, 9-6, on March 22.

Caetryn Gilreath leads the Griffons offensively with 19 goals and 20 points on the season, while Maddie Chidester has added 14 goals and six assists for 20 points, giving MWSU a strong one-two scoring punch.

In goal, Ava Garaway has handled the majority of minutes with 381:26 played, recording 61 saves while allowing 57 goals for an 8.97 goals-against average.

MWSU will look to start strong and secure an important conference win, setting the tone in an early-season GLVC matchup.
