KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Week 11 Athletes of the Week for the 2026 baseball season, with Griffon Baseball's Seth Winkler earning MIAA Hitter of the Week honors.

Winkler delivered a standout four-game stretch for MoWest, batting .526 (10-for-19) with eight runs scored, five RBI, three home runs and a 1.053 slugging percentage. He also reached base at a .550 clip and recorded three multi-hit performances.

He opened the week on April 21 at Northwest Missouri State with a 2-for-5 performance that included a home run and an RBI. Winkler followed with a dominant showing in the April 25 doubleheader opener at Arkansas-Fort Smith, going 4-for-5 with three runs scored, a double, a home run and an RBI in a 4-2 win.

In Game 2, he added a hit and an RBI, finishing 1-for-5 with a walk. He capped the weekend on April 26 with another strong outing, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a home run in a 16-4 victory.
Overall, Winkler powered the Griffon offense throughout the week, consistently producing at the plate and providing key extra-base hits.

What's Next
The Griffons return home to wrap up the regular season with a three-game MIAA series against Rogers State. The set begins Thursday at 6 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. first pitch Friday, and concludes Saturday at 1 p.m. at Griffon Baseball Field.
