Softball set for crucial four-game MIAA road swing at Washburn, Emporia State

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Softball (24-15, 5-11 MIAA) heads back on the road this weekend for a key stretch in conference play, traveling to Washburn and Emporia State for a four-game slate.

The Griffons open the trip Saturday, April 18 with a doubleheader at Washburn (30-17, 7-11 MIAA) in Topeka, Kansas, with first pitch set for 2 p.m. Game two is scheduled for 4 p.m. as MWSU looks to bounce back in MIAA action against a competitive Ichabod squad.

The weekend continues Sunday, April 19 with another doubleheader at Emporia State (23-14, 9-7 MIAA) in Emporia, Kansas. First pitch is set for 1 p.m., followed by game two at 3 p.m., closing out a crucial road swing for the Griffons.

MWSU enters the weekend at 24-15 overall and 5-11 in conference play, looking to gain ground in the MIAA standings as the regular season moves into its final stretch. With four conference games on the schedule, the trip presents an opportunity for the Griffons to build momentum and position themselves for the postseason push.
