PITTSBURG, Kan. - Griffon Men's Golf sits in sixth place out of 18 teams competing in the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg.
MoWest shot a team score of 615 (+39) through the first two rounds on a warm and breezy Monday, sitting 18 shots back of first place Central Oklahoma, but only six shots outside of the top four.
Aiden Asby is the top Griffon on the board with a two-round score of 150 (+6). He shot a 79 the first round, but shaved off eight strokes in the second for a 71 (-1). He birdied three times on the front nine to start his second round.
Parker Boggins is tied for 20th with a 153 (+9). He birdied twice in each of his rounds.
Bennett Berger is close behind, tied for 24th with a 154 (+10). He had three birdies in his second round.
Parker Bunting is tied for 52nd with a 158 (+14). He had four birdies in the opening round.
Tim Johnston is tied for 93rd with a 170 (+26). He was six shots better in the second round with an 82 (+10).
The third and final round of the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational tees off on Tuesday morning at 8:30.
