KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its second Athletes of the Week honors of the 2026 softball season, and Griffon Softball senior pitcher Harley Pruetting was selected as the Week Two honoree. She becomes the first Griffon Softball student-athlete to earn MIAA Pitcher of the Week recognition this season.
Pruetting went 2–0 across three appearances, posting a 0.00 ERA over 10.2 innings of work. She allowed just four total hits, did not surrender an earned run, and held opposing hitters to a .121 batting average while striking out 15 with only one walk.
She earned the save in a 2–0 shutout win over #13 Angelo State, recording one strikeout and not allowing a hit. Pruetting followed with a five-inning pitched against Texas A&M International, striking out six while allowing three hits in a 2–1 victory. In game one of a doubleheader against Ouachita Baptist, she delivered a dominant relief outing, tossing five scoreless innings with eight strikeouts while allowing just one hit to secure a 5–4 win.
The Griffons head back on the road for the D2 Battle in Branson, Mo., opening play on Thursday, Feb. 12, with a 2 p.m. matchup against Maryville before facing Southern Nazarene at 4 p.m. Action continues Friday, Feb. 13, as MoWest takes on Quincy at 11:30 a.m., followed by a 1:30 p.m. game against Southwest Baptist to close the week in Branson.
