Dixon joins Griffon Lacrosse staff

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - MoWest Athletics has announced the addition of Felicia Dixon to the Griffon lacrosse program. She officially joined the staff on September 16 as an Assistant Lacrosse Coach.

Dixon completed her Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.) with a concentration in Athletic Administration at Ottawa University in May 2025, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology from Ottawa University, where she distinguished herself as a student-athlete, leader, and Dean's Honor Roll recipient.

Dixon has gained valuable hands-on experience in collegiate athletics as a Graduate Assistant and Interim Coach for Men's Lacrosse at Ottawa University, where she managed equipment, assisted with game preparation, and recruiting student-athletes. She also contributed as a Women's Lacrosse Graduate Assistant Volunteer Coach, helping players refine their technical and tactical skills. In addition, she has served in roles supporting athletic administration, athletic training, and event coordination, further strengthening her operational and leadership abilities.

"I'm super excited to be taking on this role and be apart of a successful program. I'm looking forward to working under Coach Berg and unlocking the potential these women have," said Dixon.

Beyond her university roles, Dixon worked as a Summer Lacrosse Coach with Elevate Lacrosse in Kansas City, MO, designing age-appropriate drills and fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence among athletes.She has also been a longstanding player for the Jamaica Women's Lacrosse Senior Team since 2019, including appearances in the 2019 U19 Women's Lacrosse Championship, 2022 World Championship, 2023 PALA Sixes Tournament, and the 2025 PALA Women's Championship, where she served as team captain.
