Pruitt and Williams make history as first-ever IWLCA All-Region honorees

Pruitt was named to the first team, and Williams was tabbed to the second team

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2025 All-Region teams on Wednesday afternoon, and seniors Sam Pruitt and Grace Williams made history as the first Griffons to be named to the list.
 
Pruitt, a four-time All-GLVC selection and consecutive first-team honoree, was recognized on the All-Midwest Region First Team as an attacker. The Ellisville, Missouri native led the team with 74 points (51 goals and 23 assists), recorded 74 shots on goal, collected 31 ground balls, won 21 draw controls and caused 17 turnovers.
 
She concludes her historic career at Missouri Western as the all-time leader in career goals (180), assists (70) and points (250).
 
Williams, the 2025 GLVC Defender of the Year and a three-time All-GLVC selection (first-team honors in 2024 and 2025), was named to the All-Midwest Region Second Team. The Ballwin, Missouri native anchored the Western defense with a GLVC-leading 32 caused turnovers (1.88 AVG/G). She also recorded 39 ground balls, nine draws and scored her second career goal on Senior Day against McKendree (4/19).
 
Williams leaves Missouri Western as the all-time leader in caused turnovers with 96.
 
The IWLCA honored 128 student-athletes in Division II with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2025. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the Division II 2025 All-American teams on May 21.
