ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – MoWest men's basketball has unveiled its 2025-26 schedule as Brooks McKowen prepares for his inaugural season as head coach.
The campaign kicks off October 31 at the Civic Arena in St. Joseph as part of the 2025 D2 CCA Men's and Women's Basketball Tip-off Classic against West Texas A&M. The team returns to the Civic Center on November 2 to face Missouri-St. Louis, before making its first appearance inside the MWSU Fieldhouse at the Looney Complex on November 14 against Augustana and hosting Wayne State the following night in the Hillyard Tipoff Classic.
Additional non-conference home opponents include Quincy (Nov. 22), Arkansas Tech (Nov. 28), and Avila (Dec. 16), while the road schedule features Southern Nazarene (Nov. 19), William Jewell (Nov. 25), Rockhurst (Dec. 13), and Truman State (Dec. 20).
Conference play begins December 2 with a home clash against Northwest Missouri State, followed by the first MIAA road test at Emporia State on December 6. Notable league home match ups include Washburn (Jan. 7), Central Missouri (Jan. 10), Fort Hays State (Jan. 15), and Nebraska Kearney (Jan. 17), while early road tests will take the team to Nebraska Kearney (Jan. 1), Fort Hays State (Jan. 3), Washburn (Jan. 24), and Northwest Missouri State (Jan. 31).
In the final stretch, four of the last seven games will be played at home, highlighted by the final home game of the season, a February 25 meeting with Emporia State, before closing out the regular season on the road at Newman on February 28.
The MIAA Tournament, featuring the top 10 teams from the regular season standings, is set to take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City starting March 4.
