ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western volleyball earned the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for their efforts in the classroom during the 2024-25 school year.
The Griffons earned the award by maintaining a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 on 4.0 scale. This marks the 14
th time in program history that Missouri Western has earned this honor from the AVCA.
Missouri Western volleyball maintained a 3.63 GPA in the 2024-25 season. Three players –
Holly Heldt,
Lily Kurz and
Taylor Russell – claimed CSC Academic All-District Honors this past season, with Kurz scoring CSC Academic All-American Second Team Honors.
Additionally, 13 Griffon volleyball players earned MIAA Academic Recognition for their efforts in the classroom this past year, with Kurz,
Emma Salker and
Ady Horn being honored for carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA.
