ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Missouri Western men's and women's track and field keeps its indoor season going this Saturday at the Pittsburg State Invitational.
The meet is being held at the Robert Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. Griffon athletes will start competing in field events at 11 a.m. and running events will start at noon.

Missouri Western was just in Pittsburg, KS the week prior, competing in the 'Rumble in the Jungle' Invitational. The women finished in 6th place out of 18 teams, while the men placed 6th out of 15 teams in the event.
On the women's side,
Makenzie Garr picked up another win in shot put with a throw of 48 feet-2 inches, which was an NCAA provisional mark.
Allyssa Mahone placed second in shot put at 46 feet-8.75 inches, which was also an NCAA provisional mark.
Haley Sampson finished second in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet-8.75 inches.
Abbey Henry placed ninth in long jump at 16 feet-10 inches.
On the men's side, three Griffons placed in the top five and PR'd in the 600 meter run.
Deiondre Williams placed second and PR'd in the event with a time of 1:13.20.
Samuel Hydro was right behind in third place at 1:13.41 - a new PR.
Berhe Usman was fourth in the 600 at 1:13.82 - a new PR for him in the event.
In the 3000 meter run,
Pau Valderrama placed 3rd with a PR of 8:27.89. In the 60 meter hurdles,
Alex Thompson placed seventh at 8.27 seconds. In triple jump,
Tyrease Dutton-Bicalho placed fourth with a distance of 46 feet.
