Justin Bubak's career night helped propel Missouri Western men's basketball (14-7) to a dominant 96-59 win over Haskell (6-18) on Wednesday inside the MWSU Fieldhouse. With 18 three-pointers made, the Griffons tied the single-game school record that was established against No. 8 St. Thomas Aquinas on Nov. 7, 2021.
MWSU opened the contest strong with a 12-2 run in the first three minutes and maintained control for the remainder of the game. By halftime, they had established a substantial lead, which reached as high as 27 points to secure a 49-22 advantage heading into the intermission.
In the second half, Western built their lead to a substantial 42 points, driven by an outstanding shooting effort of 17-for-31 (55%) from the field. Out of those 17 baskets, 11 were from beyond the arc, leading to a commanding 37-point victory to conclude a successful 9-2 non-conference slate.
Bubak, who set a new career-high in scoring with 19, led the team with four made three-pointers to help tie the single-game program record. The senior finished the night an efficient 7-of-14 from the field while also recording five rebounds, four assists, one block and a steal.

Missouri Western will look for its first regular season sweep since the1998-99 season over rival Northwest Missouri State in the "Battle of Highway 71" this Saturday.
