ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Western head softball coach,
Nicole Thompson, has announced the addition of Steffany Dickerson to the coaching staff.
Dickerson officially became a Griffon in August 2024 and will serve as a full-time assistant designated to the helping pitching and catching staff.
Before joining MWSU, she was a graduate assistant at the University of Kansas and contributed to the Jayhawks' seven top-25 victories in 2023 and 2024.
Steffany was a standout starting pitcher at Missouri State who received numerous accolades, including MVC Pitcher of the Year and MVC All-Tournament MVP. She completed her collegiate career with an impressive ERA of 2.24 and 530 strikeouts.
The Oklahoma City native holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Park Administration from Missouri State and a Master's Degree in Sport Management from Kansas.
Thompson on Dickerson: "I am very excited to be adding Steff as our assistant coach. Her experience and knowledge on the pitching side will be a huge asset to this program. She was a successful ace on the mound for Missouri State during her college career and then just finished a great stint at KU working with their pitching staff. Steff brings a positive energy and competitive mindset to the table, and I look forward to seeing her mold and mentor this pitching/catching staff."
