Higdon leads all-MIAA selections

Sophomore infielder Kalee Higdon headlined a quartet of Missouri Western State University student-athletes on the 2024 all-MIAA awards released Tuesday, April 30.

Higdon's .394 batting average was the fifth-best in the league. The second team selection was the Gretna, Neb.'s first all-league award for the shortstop.

Head coach Joe Yegge's squad also put three on the honorable mention list. Senior pitcher Sydney Rader (Norfolk, Neb.), junior outfielder Mackenzie DeVine (Gretna, Neb.) and freshman utility player/pitcher Ashlyn Finarty (Knoxville, Iowa) were the honorees. DeVine received her second all-league accolade.
