EMPORIA, KAN. – The upper half of Missouri Western State University's roster proved dominant in MIAA action Monday, April 29.

Alejandro de la Torre's Griffons reached the 15-win dual mark for a third successive campaign, rolling past the Hornets of Emporia State University 6-1. MWSU picked up victories in number one and two doubles for the team point and then surrendered only 14 game losses over the top four singles matches. Spotlight the singles march were senior Isabella McGibbon (Brisbane, Australia) and sophomore
Cristina Granero Boj (Malaga, Spain). McGibbon won 6-0, 6-1 at number two, and Granero Boj claimed the number three clash 6-1. 6-1.
The Griffons (15-3 overall, 6-2 MIAA) take the number two seed into the 2024 postseason tournament. They'll face either Northwest Missouri State University or Northeastern State University in semifinal round action at 10 a.m. at the University of Central Oklahoma.
