ST. JOSEPH, MO. – Buoyed by a lockdown bullpen outing Tuesday, April 2, Missouri Western State University got the first week of the new month off to a strong start.

Damian Stambersky's squad rallied from a 4-1 third inning deficit with a five-run attack over the final three frames that wound up a 7-5 decision. The road to the year's 16
th victory was paved through the bullpen, though.

Robert Farrell (Joliet, Ill.) were nearly perfect over the last four visiting offensive attempts. They only gave up one hit and surrendered one walk while striking out two, Meanwhile, the offense had four individuals wind up with two-hits-or-more led by junior shortstop 
Quinn Gundelfinger (Nixa, Mo.) with three hits including a double. Junior outfielder 
Tyson Gerdes (Omaha, Neb.) and senior first baseman 
Zach Hanlan (St. Joseph, Mo.) belted home runs to add to the 11-hit output.
 
MWSU (16-17) returns to Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association action Friday through Sunday, April 5-7. They host Emporia State University.
