KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Western fell 3-2 on the road against Rockhurst Friday after a last-minute goal at Bourke Field.
Missouri Western struck first when Jaden Skinner notched her first goal of the season in the seventh minute, assisted by Elisabeth Pujado The Hawks evened the match on a goal from Caitlyn Smith in the eighth minute.
Rockhurst (2-0-1, 0-0 GLVC) went ahead 2-1 on Anna Lantz's ninth-minute goal, assisted by Smith and Halle Mallum. The Griffons fired back to knot things up at 2-2 with a 74th-minute goal from Kendall Knisley, her first goal of the season. Corrine Stewart assisted the goal.
Rockhurst broke the tie and took a 3-2 lead on Lantz's goal in the 89th minute.
