Dudley promoted to assistant director of athletics for student-athlete success

ST. JOSEPH, Mo.  Now taking on her second promotion in as many summers, Greysen Dudley is Missouri Western's new assistant director of athletics for student-athlete success, Griffon Director of Athletics Andy Carter announced on Friday.

Dudley will now lead academic operations within the athletic department, assisting Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance Madeline Simmons with internal operations as it relates to student success, including but not limited to, financial aid, housing and business office matters. Other essential job duties include performing as student-athletes' academic advisor as it pertains to ensuring NCAA eligibility, assisting in all student-athlete academic enrollment in coursework and tracking and reporting all GPA and graduation rate data for student-athletes by program.

After promoting her to a full-time position as the compliance & academic coordinator in July of 2022, Carter is excited to see what Dudley does next in her new role.

"Greysen has been an influential part of the student-athlete experience for some time, first as a graduate assistant then filling in between hires," Carter said. "I was very excited to hire her full-time last summer and bring her student-serving perspective to our department. She has continuously demonstrated her connection with our mission and our culture which places our student's experience as paramount. Her work in academics, advising, community engagement and SAAC has been exemplary. Bottom line is Greysen has earned this promotion, and I look forward to her continuing her great work with our students."

Dudley arrived at MWSU in the fall of 2020, undergoing two years as the compliance and academic services graduate assistant. Prior to joining MWSU Athletics, she interned at Drury University with the athletics facilities and operations coordinator, playing volleyball and leading the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the process. The beginning of the 2023 fall semester signals her fourth school year working at Missouri Western.

"I am incredibly excited to continue growing my career as a Griffon," Dudley said on the promotion. "I want to thank Andy Carter for this opportunity. I am so passionate about this community and our student-athletes. I cannot wait until our student-athletes return to campus for the fall semester! It is such an honor to work alongside our administrators and coaches as we continuously raise the bar as to what it means to be a Griffon in the classroom, in the community and in competition."
