Griffon Baseball will say goodbye to longtime Head Coach Charles "Buzz" Verduzco on Sunday, as the all-time winningest coach in team history will retire once the season concludes. Verduzco has won 628 games in his Griffon career, with 438 of them coming in conference play. He took the head coaching job in 2000, , winning the MIAA Regular Season Championship in 2013 and qualifying for four NCAA Tournaments.

Missouri Western Baseball will have 15 seniors playing their final game at the Spring Sports Complex this Sunday, but Senior Day will take place on Saturday. The 15 seniors are the following:

SCOUTING NO. 16 MISSOURI SOUTHERN: APRIL 28-30
The Lions (36-11, 23-7 MIAA) are in second place in the MIAA and just one game behind Central Missouri. They have the most overall wins of any team in the conference and have only failed to win one series in conference play. They beat the Griffons 23-10 on April 4 in Kansas City at the Urban Youth Academy.
Who to Watch
Nate Mieszkowski is batting a scorching .400 this season with 56 RBIs to his name as well as 12 home runs. His 82 hits are the most on the team by 11, and he is tied for third on the team in home runs. His .400 batting average is good for fourth in the conference, and he leads the MIAA in runs by a significant margin. In total, four players are batting over .300 for MSSU. Matt Miller leads the team in RBI with 68, helping the Lions outscore opponents 482-274 this season.
