GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators announced the 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams on Tuesday, June 2, as five Griffon Baseball student-athletes earned Academic All-District honors.
Representing MWSU on the Academic All-District® Team were
Jordan Austin,
Miguel Cantu,
Cole Evans,
Micah Kobuszewski, and
Sebastian Gutierrez. The honor recognizes student-athletes for their combined achievements on the field and in the classroom.
Miguel Cantu,
Cole Evans, and
Micah Kobuszewski were selected to advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot and will be considered for national recognition. Academic All-America® teams will be announced on June 23, 2026.
To be eligible for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while meeting competition requirements. Position players must compete in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent of contests played. Pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or pitch a minimum of 35 innings during the season.
The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their excellence in academics and athletics across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA institutions.
