The Tigers' season has been headlined by a win against No. 4 Missouri Southern earlier this month, and including that game, Fort Hays has won four of its last six. The Tigers (17-24, 7-17 MIAA) has relied on excellent hitting to keep them going, as six players are batting over .300, and three players have more than five home runs. Last time the two teams met, the Griffons took two of three from the Tigers in Hays, Kansas. That series took place almost exactly one year previous to this series.
