Soccer's Kaili Campbell nabs late winner vs. Augustana

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — A last-second goal from senior forward Kaili Campbell propelled Griffon Soccer past Augustana to their first win of the season on Sunday at Spratt Stadium.

After a back-and-forth second half that saw both teams frantically look for the opening goal in the last five minutes, Campbell won the ball on the right and made a run down the wing. A quick look up revealed the keeper was off her line, and Campbell fond a perfect finish, chipping the keeper with only five seconds left in the game to make the score 1-0.

Sophomore goalkeeper Keeley Kroonenberg stood tall between the sticks, saving eight shots with two of those being one-on-one opportunities in the final ten minutes of the game.
