ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A hard-fought game saw the Griffons battle the Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney to a 1-1 tie Friday night at Spratt Memorial Stadium.
The first half saw the Griffons dominate the game in every statistic besides goals. Most of the first half was played in the Loper half, with the Griffons outshooting UNK 7-2 in total shots and 5-1 in shots on goal.
The second half saw both offenses find the net. The Lopers (0-7-2) opened the scoring in the 48th minute. Sophomore
Keeley Kroonenberg saved a long shot, but that save deflected back into play, allowing for the Lopers to jump on the loose ball and slot it home.

Elisabeth Pujado leveled the game in the 58th minute, jumping on a shot that cannoned off the crossbar from senior
Kaili Campbell. Pujado's team-leading fourth goal keeps the Griffons undefeated in conference play, as they improve their record to 3-3-3 (1-0-1 MIAA).
