Griffons fall to Tigers in first home loss of the season

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Soccer fell to Fort Hays State in a tough loss on Sunday afternoon at Spratt Stadium.

The 1-0 loss is the first home loss of the season for the Griffons. They are now 2-1-3 at Spratt Stadium.

The Griffons (3-4-3, MIAA 1-1-1) and the Tigers (7-0-3, MIAA 2-0-1) battled back and forth in the first half, with neither team taking hold of the game. Both teams finished the half with five shots.

Fort Hays started to pull away in the second half, outshooting the Griffons five to three.
