Griffons bounce back, down Missouri Southern 1-0

JOPLIN, Mo. —  The Griffons found their winning form once again, as they took down the Lions from Missouri Southern on Sunday by a score of 1-0.

Forward Kaili Campbell found herself on the score sheet once again, scoring the only goal of the contest in the 78th minute. Sophomore goalkeeper Keeley Kroonenberg recorded her fifth shutout in six games, and the Griffons (4-3-2) were able to rest some tired legs, playing 19 players in the win.

The Griffons move to 1-0 in conference play and are now 3-1-2 in their last six games. This is the second time the Griffons have beaten the Lions (0-8-0) in the last three games. However, the game last week in St. Joseph did not count towards MIAA play.
