ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Unblemished, unbeaten and unbothered. That pretty much sums up Griffon Tennis' first three matches of 2022.

Missouri Western mowed through Southwest Minnesota State 7-0 on Friday — not losing a single set all day long at Genesis Health Club. The tone was set when MWSU only lost three games combined throughout all three doubles matches. Griffons like Isabella MacGibbon and Nicole Donnelly scorched through their singles competition with clean sweeps.

Anya Chavez had the cloest the match up of the day at No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 7-5 against Joana Reis India.

No rest for Missouri Western, as the Griffons take to the road for a match with Quincy (1-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Quincy, Illinois. Last time these two played was Feb. 22, 2019 where MWSU won 6-1 in St. Joseph.
