BENTONVILLE, Ar. — For the first time this season, Griffon Softball was shut out and is now 1-1 against nationally ranked teams.

Missouri Western's losing streak hit three games this Saturday after their 10–0 loss to No. 16 Southern Arkansas University. The Griffons are 0-3 in the Alvy Early Memorial Classic. Today's slate was set for a doubleheader including a game against the University of Missouri-St. Louis, but it was canceled. 

This is the Muleriders' fourth win in a row against Missouri Western. The last time MWSU won against Southern Arkansas was a 5-0 decision back on May 5, 2014 in Winona, Minnesota.

Next Up

The Griffons (2-6) play a doubleheader on Sunday to end their time in Arkansas. The first game is against Arkansas Monticello (2-4) at 11 a.m. After that is a matchup with fellow Missouri team William Jewel (0-1) at 1 p.m.
