EMPORIA, Ks. – A tough match for the Griffons saw the Hornets take down Missouri Western, 6-0 in the Griffons' first match in Emporia since 2019.
Emporia (4-4-4, MIAA 2-0-3) opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a goal from Mackenzie Dimarco, her first of three. They added another three minutes later, then another two before half time.
The second half saw the Griffons give up another two goals, bringing the score to 6-0. The game saw the Griffons fall to 3-6-6 and 1-3-1 in MIAA play.
