Soccer takes down Rogers State, 1-0

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Kaili Campbell scored the decisive goal as Griffon Soccer took down Rogers State by a score of 1-0 on Friday night at Spratt Memorial Stadium.

The Griffons (5-7-3, 3-4-1 MIAA) out-shot the Hillcats, 17-6, but it wasn't until the 81st minute that they were able to find the breakthrough. Jaden Skinner whipped a tantalizing ball across the box, and Campbell pounced on it to slot it home at the far post, giving the Griffons a critical win and three points in the race to make the MIAA Playoffs.

The game got chippy in the second half, with the MWSU bench assessed two yellow cards, along with one for both team. The two teams combined for 19 total fouls.
