Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. – The Missouri Western tennis team lost at No. 18 Washburn on Friday afternoon, 5-2.  The Ichabods are ranked No. 2 in the Central Regional Rankings, while MWSU is at No. 5.  The Griffons fall to 8-4 on the season and 2-2 in the MIAA, while WU is 11-1 and 4-1 in league play.
 
The Griffons lost the doubles point as the duo of Ioanna Lathouri and Anya Chavez won at the No. 1 position, but MWSU lost the other two matches.
 
Missouri Western played with the Ichabods in singles as Karolina Ström and Anya Chavez earned wins at the No. 2 and No. 4 positions, respectively, but the Griffs suffered three singles losses in three sets.
 
MWSU returns home next weekend as they host Newman on Saturday, April 17 at the Noyes Tennis Center.
