EDMOND, Okla. – The Missouri Western tennis team lost to top-seeded and No. 4 ranked Central Oklahoma Friday, 4-0, in the MIAA Semifinals in Edmond. The Griffons drop to 12-6 this season.
The Bronchos won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn that point, and then won the first three singles matches in straight sets to clinch and the rest of the singles matches went unfinished.
The loss for Missouri Western likely ends the Griffons' season, as they were seventh in the latest regional rankings and the top five make the NCAA Tournament. The selection show will take place Tuesday.
