ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Western tennis team celebrated their lone senior,
Karolina Ström, on Sunday as they shut out Emporia State 7-0 on senior day at the Noyes Tennis Center. The Griffons improve to 10-4 this season and 4-2 in the MIAA.
Ström earned two wins in her final home match as she won in three sets at the No. 1 singles position, and she teamed up with
Isabella MacGibbon at the No. 2 doubles to win 6-1. Ström is one of the most accomplished players in Griffon tennis history as she has the most singles and doubles wins at MWSU since 2008.
Missouri Western will close out its regular season next weekend on the road as they play at Northeastern State on Friday and then they square off with Central Oklahoma on Saturday.
