WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Griffon Soccer held No. 7-ranked Central Missouri (6-1) scoreless for the first 76 minutes, but a UCM goal in the 77
th minute handed the Griffons a 1-0 loss. Missouri Western became just the third team this season to hold UCM to less than two goals.

Kassie Newsome scored the game winner for the Jennies off an assist from Haley Freeman. It was the only of five shots on goal by the home team to get by
Anna Mayer. The Griffons nearly matched the Jennies shot-for-shot, ending the game with 11 total to UCM's 15. Three of the Griffs' shots were on frame.

Taylor Schwartzkopf led MWSU with four shots. UCM was coming off scoring nine goals over two games at Northwest Missouri and against Missouri Southern last week.
