MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. – The Missouri Western Men's Golf team travelled to the Shangri-La Country Club to compete in the MSSU Men's Fall Invitational this week. After two rounds of play, the Griffons finished tied for 14^th with a team score of 605.
 
Jett Simmons, Matt Thoms, Tom Buffington, and Preston Ewing placed closely to each other throughout the tournament. Simmons shot a team-low two-round score of 150, while Thoms was one stroke behind Simmons with a score of 151. Buffington and Ewing each shot scores of 152.
 
Lucas Horseman put together a two-round score of 158, respectively.
 
The Griffons will take a few days off before they head to Owensboro, Kentucky to compete in the Panther Invitational Sept. 29.
