FORT SMITH, Ark. – Missouri Western Tennis (5-3) came up short for the first time in its last five matches, falling at Arkansas – Fort Smith (3-4) by a final score of 5-2 on Saturday.
The Griffons walked away with one win in doubles play.
Federica Salmaso and
Bojana Vuksan outlasted their opponents for a 7-6 victory to bring the score to 2-1 heading into singles.
Joanna Abreu Roman and Karolina Ström suffered just their first doubles loss of the spring in a 6-1 defeat.
Karolina Ström continued her impressive singles play this spring with a 6-4, 6-2 win for Missouri Western.
Bojana Vuksan was the other Griffon to earn a victory in the singles. Vuksan topped Arkansas – Fort Smith's Chloe Ruppanner on the number six court for a 6-4, 6-2 win.
Missouri Western Tennis will head to Orlando, Florida for a set of four matches beginning with a matchup with Minnesota State University – Moorhead on March 7.
