ST. JOSEPH – Concordia-St. Paul outscored Griffon Women's Basketball 40-18 in the second half, overcoming a 16-point halftime deficit to win the season opener for both teams, 66-59, Friday night at Civic Arena.

Missouri Western fell behind by as many as 10 in the fourth quarter, but cut the Golden Bear lead to six with 34 seconds left on a
Simone Rodney 3-pointer. The Griffons didn't score again. Rodney's three gave the Griffs their only points over the final six minutes of the game.

Katrina Roenfeldt, 11 from
Chris Wilson and 13 first half CSP turnovers, the Griffons went to the locker room leading 41-25. Concordia-St. Paul outscored MWSU 24-7 in the third quarter, shooting better than 63% in the quarter to take a one-point lead into the fourth.
