ST. JOSEPH – Missouri Western Women's Basketball (9-9, 4-5 MIAA) returns to St. Joseph for two home games this week. The Griffons will face Missouri Southern on Thursday before taking on one of the top teams in the MIAA in Pittsburg State.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Missouri Western will be looking to avenge last season's losses this week. The Griffons went 0-4 against the Lions and Gorillas last season.
- Thursday's game will showcase two of the top scorers in the MIAA. Katrina Roenfeldt leads the Griffons with 15 points per game. Meanwhile, Missouri Southern's Chelsey Henry is second in the MIAA in scoring at 16.7 per game.
- The Griffons will aim to capitalize on turnovers against Missouri Southern on Saturday. The Lions turn the ball over more than any team in the MIAA while the Griffons are third in conference in turnovers forced.
- A win this week would give the Griffons their fifth conference win, which would surpass their regular season total from all of last season.
