OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Missouri Western Women's Tennis wrapped up play at ITA Central Regional Tournament in Oklahoma City on Friday. The event features all 16 institutions in the Griffons' Central region.

Joanna Abreu Roman advanced to the second round in Friday's action. Abreu Roman outlasted Simone Simas of Southern Arkansas in a third set tiebreaker winning 14-12. Head Coach
Shawn Becker will look to Abreu Roman to continue to be one of the more productive Griffons on the team this season. She brings back some of the most experience on the team, as she finished last season with a 13-6 overall record.
