ST. JOSEPH – Griffon tennis (6-3) defeated Missouri Valley (1-1) 8-1 at Genesis Health Club. MWSU has won five of its last seven matches.
 
Missouri Western wasted little time as it swept all three doubles matches. Joanna Abreu Roman and Karolina Strom picked up their seventh win of the season with an 8-0 shutout victory at #2 Doubles. MWSU won both #1 Doubles and #3 Doubles by a score of 8-4. 
 
Singles play took similar script as the Griffons won five of the six matches with four matches only needing two sets.  Sofia Aguilera picked up the first singles win 6-0, 6-1 at #4 singles. Joanna Abreu Roman clinched the match for Missouri Western with a 6-1, 6-0 win in #3 singles. Abreu Roman also stayed perfected on the season and advanced to 5-0 in singles action.
 
Karolina Strom won her seventh match of the season at #2 doubles 6-3, 6-2. Federica Salmaso improved to 3-1 on the season with a 6-2, 6-0 victory in #5 singles. Bojana Vuksan earned the final Griffon victory in three sets at #1 singles.
