ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western Women's Tennis fell to Central Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon, 8-1. The Griffons are now 8-3 overall and 3-3 in conference action.

The Griffons dropped all three doubles matches against the Bronchos. Sofia Aguilera and Yasmine El Ghazi suffered an 8-6 defeat in the No. 1 spot. In the No. 2 doubles competition Sarah Giraldo and Joanna Abreu Roman lost 8-5.

In the singles matches, Abreu Roman continued to impress as a freshman, winning 6-4, 7-5 in the No. 4. She is now 9-0 in dual matches this year. Missouri Western couldn't pull out another singles victory in the match, falling in the other five competitions. Central Oklahoma won in straight sets in the No.5 and No.6 spots.
